SC EyeQue B3D

EyeQue VisionCheck home optometry: You attach the little second-generation eye viewer to a smartphone running an app and conduct your own 5-10-minute eye test, thereby avoiding a trip to the eye doctor. EyeQue claims 99 percent accuracy, and my own EyeQue try-out at the company’s booth perfectly matched my optometrist’s prescription. You can then save even more money by then buying your glasses online for a tenth of what you’re optometrist would charge you. Unfortunately, EyeQue only can handle single vision perscriptions – it can’t measure for bi-focal or progressive lenses, at least not yet (I was told a solution for multi-vision is on the drawing boards). EyeQue is available for pre-order for $59 on Indiegogo or for $59.99 on the company’s web site, and should be available in April.
