Unwasted Wants Plastics Out Of The Ocean And On The Patio

Granted, as far as diversifying your retail product mix, outdoor/patio furniture is not as sexy as, say, mattresses. But a convergence of somewhat otherwise disassociated conditions – the “end” of the pandemic, the coming barbeque season, and a heightened recognition of single-use plastic’s increasingly dangerous environmental impact – makes the outdoor furniture sold by Unwasted a potential new retail basket expander.

Long-story short, Unwasted designs and manufacturers premium, non-traditional, high design “mid-century” modern outdoor furniture with a more indoor aesthetic from recycled lastic. But Unwasted’s wares don’t look or feel like plastic.

Review of the Tineco Pure One S12 Stick Vac

Tineco’s Pure One S12 stick vac is loaded with features that make it a pleasure to use. When compared to the more than half a dozen stick vacs I’ve been using over the last year — Anker Eufy HomeVac S11 Infinity ($299), Dyson V15 Detect ($699), LG CordZero A9 Ultimate ($599), Miele TriFlex HX1 ($499), Proscenic P10 Pro ($199), Raycop Omni Air ($299), Roborock H7 ($499), Tineco Pure One S12 ($499) — it comes up just short of my top cordless stick vacuum pick, the entry-level Miele Triflex HX1.

It’s easy to buy a fantastic big screen TV that presents a great picture. Up until recently, though, your choice presented a conflict. A new TV tech called quantum dot is designed to bridge this picture quality/picture brightness gap, delivering eye-popping colors, deep blacks, and enough brightness to bring clear TV viewing to even the sunniest room.

Review of the Miele Triflex HX1 Pro Stick Vac

Vacuuming is a stop-and-go activity. You start, then you stop to pick up something off the floor. You need to move a chair. Someone calls. Your vacuuming is constantly being interrupted. But when you turn off its power to deal with the interruption, what do you do with a stick vac? For most stick vacs, you need to lean it against a wall or furniture. But Miele has completely redesigned its Triflex HX1 stick vac so it can stand up on its own in the middle of the floor.
